- Setup: Choose a playset deck and distribute Relationship and Need/Object/Location cards between players.
- Act One: Players create scenes, choosing to either Establish the context, or Resolve the outcome through face-down outcome cards — letting others do the opposite.
- The Tilt: After each player has had 2 scenes, reveal outcome cards and calculate totals — the players with highest positive and negative totals each select a Tilt element.
- Act Two: Each player creates 2 more scenes, now incorporating the Tilt elements into the story.
- Aftermath: Calculate totals from all outcome cards and use Aftermath cards to determine each character's final fate.
